Dear Senator Scott:
My name is [insert name]. I’m a retiree in [insert city], Florida, who depends on prescription medicines to manage my blood pressure, cholesterol and asthma. I am very happy that Congress has passed the Inflation Reduction Act to lower drug costs for people with Medicare but I’m also very worried that some Members of Congress are trying to repeal the new law before it even goes into effect.
I would like to know if you support the repeal of this law and negotiations in Medicare. Please send me a written response with your official position on this issue in the next two weeks. Send the response to [insert address].
Thanks for responding to my request and your consideration for constituents.
Sincerely,
Name, Address
